Remember that exploding-head post from way back? This goes way, way beyond that. You've outdone yourselves, guys.
So: I'm going to start off with the prizes I was going to award this morning, when things stood at about 250 comments, but I had a bunch of other people's heads exploding around me and couldn't stay at my computer long enough to post. I repeat, these only apply to the first half of the comments - if I wait until I've read them all, there'll just be more, and I'll be caught in a neverending loop of comment-reading.
The Monster Prize is for what you have created here. P/H's place is now known as the Monster Bar!
Rana gets a special prize of her own for 1) holding her own with Jo(e) and Scrivener, 2) coining the term Ranatar, 3) commenting in splendid haikus, and 4) using the phrase "spifty keen."
Rana also gets a separate prize for actually introducing a serious Historical Discussion into the comment fun.
The Inspiration Prize goes to Jo(e) and Scrivener for inventing comment-charades.
And last but not least, a special prize to Baby Blue for her very first comment.
