Look what happens

Joining all the folks who've posted poems for National Poetry Month (and what a lovely idea!), I share one from Hafiz, a Sufi poet from the fourteenth century:

THE SUN NEVER SAYS

Even
After
All this time
The sun never says to the earth,
"You owe
Me."

Look
What happens
With a love like that,
It lights the
Whole
Sky.
